-> The SCO Tourism Ministers’ conference was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. This is the first tourism ministerial meeting between member countryes of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

-> China successfully launched a hyperspectral imaging satellite ‘Gaofen-5’ for comprehensive observation of the atmosphere, including air pollution which is one of the country’s major problems.
-> Mahathir Mohamad was sworn in as Prime Minister of Malaysia with a historic victory in the country’s general elections
-> India’s Under-16 national football team started the four-nation international tournament in Serbia with a 2-1 victory over Jordan.
