Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation : தமிழ் நாடு மின்சார வாரியம் (Tamil Nadu Electricity Board - TNEB) சூலை 01, 1957இல் சட்டப்படி உருவாக்கப்பட்ட ஓர் பொதுத்துறை அமைப்பாகும். மின்சார வழங்கல் சட்டம், 1948இன் கீழ் அந்நாளைய அரசின் மின்சாரத்துறைக்கு மாற்றாக அமைக்கப்பட்டது. இது தமிழக அரசின் ஆற்றல் துறையின் கீழ் இயங்குகிறது. இன்றைக்கு தமிழகத்தில் மின்வசதி பெறுவோர் எண்ணிக்கை 2 கோடியே 3 இலட்சத்து 87 ஆயிரமாகவும், மின்உற்பத்தி நிறுவு திறன் 10 ஆயிரத்து 214 மெகாவாட் ஆகவும் உள்ளது.
